STORY

For over three decades, Kenn Solomon has been the heart, soul, & creative genius behind one of the most well known Mascots in professional sports, SuperMascot Rocky of the Denver Nuggets. His story is a testament to passion, resilience, and the relentless pursuit of excellence.

What started as a role in a costume quickly transformed into redefining what a Mascot & storyteller could be. From viral stunts with NBA legends to memorable skits, Kenn turned Rocky into more than a sideline act, he made him a global sensation & a staple within the NBA.

One of Kenn’s most powerful moments came when he passed his legacy on to his son, only to step back in when an unexpected injury called him to the court one last time during the Denver Nuggets’ historic championship run.

Beyond the spotlight, Kenn is an active christian & devoted family man. His greatest joy has been involving his three sons in his career, sharing his passion and creativity with them throughout their lives. Whether assisting behind the scenes or performing alongside him, they have been part of the journey, making his career not just unique but deeply personal.

Today, Kenn continues to channel his passion for entertainment & storytelling. He is the owner of numerous adventure parks, the host of the “Between The Fur” podcast, & an inspirational public speaker, sharing his journey with audiences nationwide. His oldest son now carries on the family tradition as the Mascot for the Detroit Pistons, & while Rocky is no longer in the Solomon family, they remain deeply connected to the Denver community and the world of professional sports & entertainment.

Boulder Prep High School

“Overall, this was a hugely successful event. I knew that some students were going to enjoy this visit, and wasn’t sure about the school at large. Once y’all entered the building, I quickly came to the realization that everyone was going to be able to enjoy the time in one way or another. As we all started to settle into the common space, I had students that I wouldn’t have guessed coming up to me telling me that Rocky was in the building. The next 45 minutes went by smoothly with a good mix of personal anecdotes, storytelling, and motivational speaking. Oftentimes, when we ask students to sit for 45 minutes straight, there are also a handful of times that staff need to redirect and ask to display some more signs of respect. This was not the case at all for this visit. As the time concluded with all of the students, it took next to no time to have a line form for signatures. Students were getting posters for themselves, friends, and family members.

Lucky for us, we also got to do a bit more of a deep dive with Kenn with a focus around careers in entertainment. Again to my surprise, this quickly became a q & a session that the students were leading with some great questions. While the conversation could have easily continued for longer, I needed to cap our time together to respect Kenn and Cade’s time and keep us moving on our schedule. This was awesome and provided us all with some more insight about the day to day, how Kenn got to where he is now, some of the business aspects, and how he is sharing his experiences with the world.”
